1) the third row pier folding seats have twice been inadvertently activated by a child touching the button, and narrowly escaping beingness crushed by the folding seat. Likewise, the seat jammed in the one-half folded position and the dealership wanted $2600+ to set it. The ability folding seats are a death trap if someone cannot get out of the way when the push has been activated. 2) twice now, the electrical organisation has been flashing random codes- the tire pressure approximate when the tire force per unit area is fine, the ABS and traction light, and also weird MINIrough idles at very depression speeds in heavy traffic. It is a repeat problem that the shop seems to only temporarily fix.

I recently purchased a used 2022 (09/11 production date) Chrysler town seven state touring, van, it had 063,200.0 miles when received. Purchased from a honest and reputable local used motorcar dealer. (information technology was a new car trade in from a dealer 45 miles away) afterwards driving the van for aprox. 300 miles the air purse lite in the nuance came on and would not reset or go out. The dealer tried to clear the code but could non. They determined that it was something related to the drivers seat. At their recommendation I took the van to the local Chrysler/Jeep/Ram dealer to be checked. The dealer charged $95 to check it and said that at that place is a short in the drivers head rest which is not-repairable and volition price $725 (plus the $95 charge) to replace the head rest. This safety system failure is not covered past the factory after the 36/36 is expired. I called the Chrysler manufacturing plant information line and was again told that this safety system failure is not covered by Chrysler. In researching this issue I have seen that Chrysler has had at least 840,000 recalls involving head rests. How can I get Chrysler to repair this serious trouble. The dealer and Chrysler said that the SRS/air bags will not work if the light is on. This ways I take no air pocketbook part should I be involved in an blow. I am very concerned and feel that a serious safety system failure like this should be a factory covered repair for at least 150,000 miles. I have been denied the repair by Chrysler, regardless of the potential for serious injury or decease if involved in an accident when the SRS system will not piece of work. I am a disabled veteran and demand this van for transportation.

2022 Chrysler Town & Country (rental). Consumer writes in regards to rental vehicle sliding door & rider seats malfunction. The consumer stated the sliding doors just behind the front doors were electronically operated. There were 2 occasions where the consumer's married man and a teen-aged driver inadvertently had their hand on the car frame, and when the button was pushed to shut the door, information technology did not stop, when it hit their hands. Information technology kept moving and mashed their easily betwixt the moving door and door frame. The injuries were not severe. However, a safe switch is needed to terminate the door. A much bigger problem, however, was found in the 2d row of the seat, just backside the front seat. The consumer stated she and her husband were sitting in the seats, and decided to take a nap. When she went to re-position the seat, to its upright position, she turned sideways to pull the lever on the side, but when she pulled it, the entire back residue associates slammed her forward with considerable impact. At the same time, the head rest atop the back balance slammed frontward with much more impact and it hit her in the dorsum of the head.

While parked in our driveway, ignotion/accompaniment off, with the 3rd row seats stowed, and the second row door switch disabled, my wife and I were attaching and adjusting a child prophylactic seat in the 2d row right side. Our 2 year old grandaughter was playing in the back, the dorsum door was open. I went in the house for a moment, upon returning I learned that our grandaughter had gotten pinned between a deploying left side third row seat and a modest cooler nosotros had in the back of the van. My wife heard her say "help me" and was able to pull her out of the fashion. If grandma had not been close enough to issue a rescue it may have been catastrophic. The seat jammed itself against the libation and the second row seat. One leg locked into the flooring the other was "pinned" in a folded backward postion. The seat was not safely usable. I immediately called Chrysler, I was told I would hear back, I have not. It was a Sabbatum and I actually needed the seat to be usable. I went to the dealer, my sales rep was able to pull the "pinned" leg back into position (it took significant application of strength), post-obit which, the seat operated normally. Since that occurance there accept been two occurrances of accidental 3rd row seat deployment while loading or unloading the van. The controls are easy to bump with ones elbow. The seats deploy nether far likewise great of force to be prophylactic. There is no lockout for the controls. There is no "cancel". the controls are active when the vehicle is in park and the back door is open up. While demonstrating the problems to the dealer, the right side 3rd row seat damaged itself beyond simple repair requiring parts to be ordered. It is scheduled for repair. Chrysler maintains that the organisation is safe.
